Mel Hood's Cabaret Series Brings Unique & Talented Musicians to Algonquin Arts Theatre

A new style of music performance is underway at Algonquin Arts Theatre- Mel Hood’s Cabaret Series. A legendary performer in his own right, Mel Hood, former owner of Jason’s Jazz Club in Belmar, is hosting this new series. Seating is on stage with the artists for all the cabaret events. Audience members will enjoy an up-close and personal experience with each performer through music and stories.
The next performance will be jazz and blues vocalist Eryn Shewell accompanied by Pat Ruh on Saturday, October 9th at 8pm (doors open at 7:30pm). Ms. Shewell has performed at many locations including The Stone Pony, The Saint, The Cutting Room, Bluebird Café, Café Coco, Six Flags theme parks, as well as popular clubs throughout New Jersey, New York City, New Orleans and Nashville.
