Matt Costa Concert & Free Surf Bash Coming to Algonquin Arts Theatre

California-native Matt Costa will perform a solo, acoustic set featuring familiar and new songs from his albums produced by Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records.

Algonquin Arts Theatre continues its surf series, dedicated to the art of surfing and all those who love the Jersey Shore, with a performance by Matt Costa and a free Surf Bash on Saturday, September 18th.

The Surf Bash from 4 - 8 pm will feature a solo art show by surf artist Jay Alders and a live demonstration by the Original Longboard Skate Team. Live entertainment will include bands such as Billy Joel & Harry and singer / songwriter Jenny Woods. Free food is sponsored by Surf Taco, Starbucks, and Sweet Tease Desserts (while supplies last), and there will be a variety of unique vendors, a beer garden, and more. Tickets to the Surf Bash are free and required to enter the festival.

Following the Surf Bash will be a concert at 8 pm with doors opening at 7:30 pm, including opening act Chris Velan and headliner Matt Costa, a California-native who is well-known for his indie style. Matt Costa will perform a solo, acoustic set featuring familiar songs as well as a preview of songs from his new album, "Mobile Chateau", via Jack Johnson�s Brushfire Records, which will be released on September 21st. A VIP reception will follow the show; VIP ticket holders will enjoy refreshments and have the opportunity to meet everyone.

Ticket prices to see Matt Costa perform on September 18th are $50 for VIP passes (includes two free drink vouchers, prime seating, and a VIP reception) or $30 for regular tickets. Tickets to the outdoor surf bash only are free. Tickets can be reserved by calling 732 - 528 - 9211, emailing [email protected], or by visiting www.algonquinarts.org. Box office hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Algonquin Arts Theatre is located at 173 Main Street in downtown Manasquan, NJ.
