Algonquin Arts Theatre ADA Accessibility Policy

At Algonquin Arts Theatre, we are committed to making our performances and events accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the arts. Below are the services and accommodations we offer:

Assistive Listening Devices

We offer a limited number of complimentary assistive listening device headsets for patrons who are hearing impaired. To borrow a headset, please present a valid driver's license or credit card at the concession stand as a deposit. Please be aware that due to the size of our theatre, some plays and musicals may not use amplification.

Large Print Programs

For events with playbills, large-print programs are available upon request. To minimize waste, these are created on demand. Please contact our box office at 732-528-9211 at least 48 hours before a performance to request a large-print program, which will be held at the concession counter for you. On the day of a performance, requests can be made to an usher, and we will make every effort to provide a large-print program promptly.

Special Accommodations

We aim to make the arts accessible to everyone. If you have specific accessibility needs or requests, please contact our box office, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Assistance with Walkers

Our ushers are available to assist patrons who use walkers to their seats. Walkers will be stored in the lobby and can be retrieved at intermission or after the performance upon request.

Wheelchair Accessibility

We provide six wheelchair positions within the theatre, which can be reserved online or through the box office. Additionally, we have four seats with moveable arms to facilitate easier transfer from a wheelchair. If a patron transfers to a seat, our ushers will store the wheelchair in the lobby.
