Acting & improvisation classes focus specifically on building acting skills through acting and improvisation games and exercises. Students will develop/present their own ideas, interpretations of their understanding of characteristics, behaviors, motives and how to apply those principles to a scripted scene or play. Classroom activities include developing a theme as a class, blocking and taking stage direction, scene study, and how to organize our own individual ideas when telling a story as a group with the end goal of getting those stories/characters on their feet. Students learn to act serious, silly and everything in between. Each teaching artist will customize the class based on the abilities of the students enrolled.
