MANASQUAN, N.J. (Feb. 4, 2014) � Chris Pinnella and his six-piece band present a romantic evening of hits and standards that you and your Valentine will love this February 14 at 8 p.m. at Algonquin Arts Theatre.
For this special event Pinnella opens up the "Great American Songbook" and mixes in some of the most beloved love songs of all time including "Can't Help Falling in Love," "Moondance" and "The Way You Look Tonight" with some more contemporary hits such as Billy Joel's "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant."
The local vocalist and actor grew up on the Algonquin stage and has starred here as Joseph in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," as Johnny Cantone in "The 1940s Radio Hour" and in regular performances with The Orchestra of St. Peter by the Sea under the baton of Father Alphonse Stephenson.
A truly homegrown star, he now regularly sells out local venues and is in his third year appearing around the country and around the world as a vocalist with Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO). Most recently, he appeared in Berlin on New Year's Eve with TSO in front of a national television audience of more than 1 million fans.
The Asbury Park Press calls Pinnella "outstanding" and New England Music News wrote that "Pinnella delivered with rock and roll good looks and stunning vocals." Talkin' Broadway says "Pinnella possesses a soaring, rich baritone that just leaves you speechless."
Premium seats for the show have sold out, but regular tickets are available at $34, with discounted rates for students and seniors. Beer and wine will be available at a cash bar for this event. Tickets are subject to $2 processing fees.
