Manasquan, NJ - Algonquin Arts Stars of Stage and Screen Celebrity Benefit Series debuts November 14 at 8 pm with Its Madame with an E. After nearly two decades of silence, Madame, the puppet diva is back! Created by stage partner Wayland Flowers in the 1960s, Madame (and Flowers) were famous for stints on the 70s and '80s TV shows Hollywood Squares and Solid Gold, along with her very own show, Madame's Place.
Flowers died in 1988, halting Madame's stage career. Now Madame is back on stage with new partner Rick Skye. She's just as fabulous as ever and remains uncensored, sassy, and hilarious! Madame's mouth is filled with double entendres and acid one-liners, and is intended for adults interested in seeing the rebirth of a nightclub legend!
The Algonquin Arts property has recently been purchased by the nonprofit, and the organization is excited to resume theatre restoration planning. Tickets to this Benefit Series will raise funds to support Algonquin Arts mission to bring outstanding programming to audiences in a state-of-the-art facility. This event is generously supported by The Mill at Spring Lake Heights, Brewed Addiction, and Sweet Tease.
VIP Seating is $50 and includes premier seating & access to the meet the artists champagne & dessert reception onstage following the show! Dessert is sponsored by Brewed Addiction & Sweet Tease. Standard seating is $30 (performance only). To reserve seats or obtain more information, contact the box office at 732-528-9211 or [email protected]. Tickets can also be purchased 24/7 at the Algonquin Arts website, www.algonquinarts.org. Box office hours are Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
