Festive Holiday Performances Coming to Algonquin Arts Theatre

Algonquin Arts Theatre will present nine holiday performances this season ranging from family favorites to evening performances for a night out.

The Nutcracker - 3 performances
Friday, November 26 at 7pm and
Saturday, November 27 at 2pm & 6pm
There will be a free meet the dancers reception with gourmet hot cocoas and tasty sweets for ticketholders following each performance. New York Theatre Ballet's hour-long, family-friendly performance of The Nutcracker will delight audience members of all ages, with beautiful costumes, stunning dance, and music of the season. Tickets are $30-$45.

Nothing for Christmas, a Highway 50 Film - Rated PG-13
Friday, December 3 at 8pm, Doors open at 7pm
Join us as we celebrate the independent film genre and the holidays with the local, award-winning, indie film "Nothing For Christmas" by filmmaker Sean Guess. Tickets are $10.

Friends of Algonquin Arts Theatre: ‘Tis the Season Concert
Wednesday, December 8 at 2pm
Algonquin Arts Theatre's own Brett Colby, Julie Nagy, Bill Whitefield, and Maria Zito-Kaufman will sing holiday favorites in this concert, celebrating the joys of the season with friends and family. Tickets: $12-$15

Mel Hood's Christmas Cabaret
Hosted by Mel Hood with Special Guest Brad Mandingo on Piano
Saturday, December 11 at 7:30pm
Join us for this concert featuring festive holiday music. Seating is onstage with the artists. All tickets are $30 and include two drink vouchers.

Allegro! The Joy Of Christmas Concert
Sunday, December 12 at 3pm
Celebrate the joy of the holiday season with Algonquin Arts Theatre's resident chorus. Well known for a diversity of repertoire and for a warm blend of sounds that resonate with audiences long after the concert, Allegro! celebrates the holidays with seasonal music of yesteryear and today. Tickets are $25-$30.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Saturday, December 18 at 7pm and Sunday, December 19 at 3pm
This holiday favorite is sure to put a smile on your face, a snap in your fingers, and a tear in your eye as you witness the beautiful expression of a father's love and the mysteries of Christmas. In this story, inspired by the timeless poem, A Visit from Saint Nicholas by Clement Moore, venture into the author's home with his family the day before Christmas and witness a magical tale sure to stir up your holiday spirit. Tickets are $12-$15.

A Christmas Carol, a TheatreWorksUSA production
Tuesday, December 21 at 10:00am & 11:45am
Designed for students grades 4-8 - 60 minutes
Dickens' classic story comes to life in this touching musical performance, featuring original songs and fresh, comedic dialogue. After barking out a few too many "humbugs" on Christmas Eve, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge encounters three spirits who convince him to warm up to the holiday season. Tickets are $8.50.

New Year's Eve Celebration! The Magic Of Motown - 2 performances
Friday, December 31 at 6pm & 9pm
Celebrate the New Year at Algonquin Arts Theatre with the music group, Souled Out, performing their live concert The Magic of Motown. Experience the ultimate in music nostalgia and relive unforgettable 1960s Motown hits that will have everyone dancing in the isles. Tickets are $30-$50.

Celebrate the New Year with the sweetest musical treats this side of the Danube. This special matinee experience invites you to waltz away an Austrian afternoon with Mozart, Strauss and Father Alphonse Stephenson. Tickets are $30-$50.
