Students from Asbury Park Invited to Perform with Celebrated Percussionist Svet Stoyanov at Algonquin Arts
Percussionist Svet Stoyanov will take the stage at Algonquin Arts on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 10 am, as part of Algonquin Arts' Morning Music Series. This performance, sponsored by Donald & Phyllis Sutherland, Vic Firth Drumsticks, and The Pearl Drum Corporation, will be organized into a one-hour concert followed by a 30-minute talk back with the artist. Algonquin Arts will continue its tradition of offering a musical production this summer that will feature local and regional talent. Julie Stanford Appointed Education Coordinator for Algonquin Arts

Algonquin Arts Ownership Transferred to Non-Profit and Exciting New Changes to Come
Algonquin Arts 501(c)(3) has made a down payment to purchase its theatre from landlords/founders Fran and Jack Drew. After several years of fundraising, the nonprofit has raised the money to place a down payment on the historic theatre and will be resuming its capital campaign to raise funds for the balance due, as well as capital improvements to the complex. PNC Awards $15,000 Grant to Algonquin Arts to Support Monmouth County Head Start Program
The PNC Foundation awarded Algonquin Arts a $15,000 grant to provide educational and cultural opportunities for over 200 Asbury Park, Neptune, and Howell Head Start students and their teachers. The Algonquin Arts/Head Start partnership uniquely combines live performances at the Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan with pre-performance workshops using classic children's books on which the live performances are based.
